Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about Wellth, blood tests, lab visits, and more.

About the service

What is Wellth?
Wellth is a Swedish health service that offers blood testing online. You order your tests, visit a partner lab for sampling, and receive a personalised health report, reviewed by Wellth, with insights and recommendations.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No. You can order blood tests directly through Wellth without a GP referral. Our service is designed to give you direct access to health insights.
Is Wellth available outside Sweden?
Currently, blood sampling is only available at our partner labs in Sweden. We are working on expanding to other Nordic countries. You can still purchase supplements and digital programmes from anywhere in the EU.
Who reviews my results?
All results are reviewed by Wellth before they reach you. No report is issued automatically.
Is this a replacement for healthcare?
No. Wellth provides health information and testing services for informational purposes. Our content and reports do not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your doctor for acute health concerns.

Ordering & payment

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Klarna (pay later or in instalments), and Swish. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Can I order for someone else?
Yes, you can purchase blood tests as a gift. The person taking the test will need to create their own account and link the order confirmation to their account before the lab visit.
Can I get a refund?
If you have not yet visited the lab for your sampling, we can offer a full refund. If your sample cannot be taken during your lab visit for any reason — for example, if the lab cannot locate a suitable vein — we will refund you in full, no questions asked. Contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase.
Does Friskvård (Swedish wellness benefit) cover the cost?
The friskvårdsbidrag can be used for activities involving exercise, and for treatments that relieve stress or ease soreness and stiffness. Blood tests are not covered by it. Nutritional counselling, however, can be invoiced separately and may be covered, provided the cost is no more than SEK 1,000 per session. Check with your employer if you are unsure.
Can I add tests to an existing order?
Yes, you can order additional tests at any time. If you have not yet visited the lab, our team can often combine them. Contact us at [email protected].

Blood tests

How is my personnummer (personal ID number) handled?
Your personnummer is used solely to send a lab referral to your chosen lab — Swedish laboratories require it for identity verification at the point of sampling. We store it encrypted and remove it from our active database once the referral has been sent. It is never shared with any third party beyond the accredited laboratory performing the analysis.
Do I need to fast before my blood test?
For most tests, we recommend fasting for 10–12 hours before your appointment for the most accurate results. Water is fine. If your test does not require fasting, this will be noted in the test description.
How long does the blood draw take?
The actual blood draw takes 2–3 minutes. Including any wait time, you should plan for 15–20 minutes total.
Does it hurt?
Most people experience only a small prick. If you feel anxious about needles, let the staff know — they are experienced in helping nervous patients.
What sample types are used?
Most of our tests use a standard venous blood sample (blood drawn from a vein in your arm). Some markers can also be tested via a finger-prick capillary sample — this will be indicated on the test page.
How accurate are the results?
All analyses are performed by accredited Swedish laboratories with ISO 15189 accreditation, the international standard for medical laboratory quality.
How often should I get tested?
We generally recommend testing 1–2 times per year for a general health overview. If you are tracking specific markers or making lifestyle changes, testing every 3–6 months can be valuable.
What if my results show something concerning?
If any of your results fall outside normal ranges, we will flag this in your health report with a clear explanation and recommended next steps. For urgent findings, we will contact you directly.

Labs & sampling

Where are your labs?
We partner with certified laboratories across Sweden, including Synlab and Karolinska Universitetslaboratoriet. You can find your nearest lab on our Find a Lab page.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Most labs offer drop-in with no appointment needed. Some locations (particularly Synlab sampling buses in Skåne) require booking — this is indicated on the lab page.
What do I need to bring?
Bring valid ID. That is all you need.

Results & reports

How long do results take?
Most results are ready within 3–5 working days. You will be notified by email when your results are ready.
How do I access my results?
Your results and health report are delivered to your personal Wellth dashboard. You will receive an email with a link.
Can I share my results with my doctor?
Yes. You can download your health report as a PDF and share it with your doctor or other healthcare provider.
Can I compare results over time?
Yes. Your dashboard stores all your previous results so you can track trends and see how your biomarkers change over time.
Do you store my data?
Yes, but securely. We comply with GDPR and all applicable Swedish data protection laws. Your data is encrypted and never shared with third parties without your consent. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

Supplements & programmes

What is a behaviour change programme?
Our programmes combine blood testing with personalised coaching, dietary guidance, and regular follow-ups. They are designed to help you make lasting lifestyle changes based on your health data.
Can I cancel?
You can cancel an ongoing programme subscription at any time. Already paid periods are not refunded, but you retain access to the service for the paid period.
