Inflammation
Blood Test for Chronic Inflammation
Inflammation
Assesses long-standing inflammation through CRP, ESR, fibrinogen and haptoglobin. Interpreted together, since no single value identifies a cause.

CRP, high-sensitivity
CRP is a protein the liver produces during inflammation. The high-sensitivity version measures low levels accurately and is used to assess long-term, low-grade inflammation.
Sedimentation Rate, SR
ESR measures how quickly red blood cells settle in a tube over one hour. A faster rate indicates inflammation, but the test does not show where it is or what is causing it.
Fibrinogen
Fibrinogen is a protein essential for blood clot formation and an inflammatory biomarker associated with cardiovascular disease risk.
Haptoglobin
Haptoglobin is the protein that swoops in when red blood cells break down, binding the loose haemoglobin before it can cause damage. Cleanup crew, basically.

Get your results
Your values appear in your account with reference ranges and an explanation of each marker.
For most tests, we recommend fasting for 10–12 hours before your appointment for the most accurate results. Water is fine. If your test does not require fasting, this will be noted in the test description.
Most of our tests use a standard venous blood sample (blood drawn from a vein in your arm). Some markers can also be tested via a finger-prick capillary sample — this will be indicated on the test page.
All analyses are performed by accredited Swedish laboratories using the same methods as hospital labs. Our partner labs hold ISO 15189 accreditation, the international standard for medical laboratory quality.
Yes. Your Wellth dashboard stores all your previous results so you can track trends and see how your biomarkers change over time. This is especially useful for monitoring the impact of lifestyle changes.
If any of your results fall outside normal ranges, this is flagged in your health report with a clear explanation and recommended next steps. For urgent findings, we will contact you directly.
