InteractionHigh-dose biotin can interfere with some lab immunoassays (e.g. troponin, TSH) — pause before blood tests.
InteractionSeparate from levothyroxine, iron and certain antibiotics by a few hours.
DirectionsAs a dietary supplement, 1 tablet one or two times daily with food, or as directed by a health care professional. Alpha-lipoic acid may lower blood glucose levels; those with diabetes or related conditions should monitor blood glucose levels. Pregnant or breast-feeding women, those with thiamine deficiency or thyroid disease, and children should use alpha-lipoic acid only under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
WarningsDo not use this product if the safety seal is broken or missing. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. High-dose biotin can interfere with some lab immunoassays (e.g. troponin, TSH) — pause before blood tests. Separate from levothyroxine, iron and certain antibiotics by a few hours. Contains high-dose biotin, which can distort laboratory blood test results. Stop taking it at least 48 hours before a blood test and tell the laboratory you have used it.
